ABOUT ABOUT

During this online event we will explain the Disability Confident scheme and highlight how it can help your business retain and recruit the right team of people for your business. We will explain the different levels and support options that are available for you to tap into. You will also hear from Employers and employees about their stories and what the support has meant to them.

The Disability employment gap has remained stubbornly high in the UK with only 53.2% per cent of working-age disabled employees currently being in work in comparison with 81.8% per cent of the non-disabled working age population.

This event is aimed at people who would like to find out more about the Disability Confident scheme or becoming more inclusive but may not be so sure on how to take the first steps. We are targeting small to medium sized employers. This event is suitable for all sectors and is aimed at Directors, owners, line managers, HR and recruitment staff. There will be no judgement at this event and we are happy to support others on their Disability Confident journey.

Attendees will gain a knowledge of Disability Confident & the Access to Work schemes and what it means, the opportunity to ask questions and hear examples of other organisation's experiences. There will also be ongoing support on offer for any organisation that wants to join the scheme.
