This virtual ‘meet the buyer’ event on Thursday 8 October is your chance to meet tier-one contractors for Balfour Beatty Plc, principal contractor for the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH).

Hosted by Sandwell Council and Sandwell Business Ambassadors (www.sandwellbusinessambassadors.co.uk), this interactive event will give you insight and guidance on winning work on the £267m project – as well as Balfour Beatty’s other regional projects, including the redevelopment of the Black Country Living Museum.

Taking place from 9:30am to 11.00am, it is suitable for business owners, business development professionals, directors who would like their businesses to be in with a chance of supplying the landmark MMUH development. It will show you the types of subcontract works packages, components and ancillary services needed by Balfour Beatty’s tier-one suppliers. The event is also a great networking opportunity, allowing you to connect with buyers directly involved in the project and find out what they look for in suppliers.

Attendees will hear from Bob Hallam-Allsop, Balfour Beatty’s MMUH Project Director and Corin Godsmark, Account Director. Bob and Corin will give a background to Balfour Beatty, talk about the story of MMUH, and share images of internal designs – including a virtual tour of the site.

Corin will talk more generally about supplying to Balfour Beatty on other Midlands- based contracts, such as the Black Country Living Museum and Birmingham schools.
