This event will focus on how firms across the Black Country can ensure that their premises are safe for members of staff, customers and visitors. With a focus on how Covid 19 has changed business practices, we will be inviting Regulatory Service teams from across the four Black Country Local Authorities to discuss how to Covid-proof a workplace with Black Country businesses. We will also be inviting the Health and Safety Executive as a guest speaker, as well as having business support teams from the various local authorities to answer any questions that businesses may have.
The world has changed, potentially irrevocably, over the last five months. What was considered normal business practice is now seen as unsafe and potentially life threatening to 'at risk' members of staff.
It is crucial that all business owners, of all sizes and from all sectors, fully understand the role they play in ensuring the safety of their staff.
That's why we think it is crucial, that as united Black Country, we ensure the safety of employees in the region.
We will be calling on the Regulatory Services teams from all Black Country local authorities, as well as the Business Support teams and Public Health, to ensure that MDs, FDs and HR Departments understand what must be done, for their firm to operate in a 'post-lockdown' landscape.
We want to ensure that attendees can ask the necessary questions and seek the advice they need on making their premises safe.
We will have experts in the room that can point to further support, answer the necessary questions and support businesses to make the necessary changes.
